Supervision

Effective supervision in the EYFS

The complexity and accountability of Heads of Nurseries and Senior Leaders requires clarity, creativity and resilience. The pace and intensity of the role, often along with a degree of isolation, leads many to engage with an independent supervisor to provide support, structure and challenge.

  • Introductory meeting, then regular supervision sessions (2 per year as minimum)

  • Unlimited email and telephone support as required between sessions

  • Venue to be discussed with coachee (works best if away from the place of work)

Nursery Heads and Senior Management team 

Heads of Nurseries and Senior Leaders carry a great deal of responsibility for the success of an organisation. They will have specific accountabilities, often for multiple areas within the organisation and typically contribute directly to strategic planning.

 Linden Learning offer a coaching package to provide support, structure and challenge.

  • 5 x 1.5 hour sessions (typically each 4-8 weeks but through discussion with coachee)

  • Unlimited email and telephone support as required between sessions

  • Venue to be discussed with coachee (works best if away from the place of work)

Early Childhood Educators continually strive to be the best they can be in terms of their enabling environment and the role of the adult within their service. 

Linden Learning offers consultancy and advice regarding all aspects of Early Years Foundation Stage practice. We work with senior leaders and the staff team to reflect upon current practice and develop provision.  

  • Initial discussion identifying priorities (can be via telephone or email conversation)

  • Visit to setting to observe (if appropriate) and discuss development of an aspect of practice
